How do I get to Dreamland?

By Train:
From London: Frequent departures from Victoria Station, St Pancras International and Charing Cross. Trains take around 1 hour and 30 minutes.

From Margate Train Station:
A five minute walk to Dreamland.

By Car:
Excellent road links with the M20 and M2 motorways close-by providing easy links from London.

Parking:
Belgrave Road Car Park is located on Belgrave Road, CT9 1XG.
Arlington Car Park is located on All Saints Avenue, CT9 5QH.

By Bus:
Stagecoach offer frequent bus services between Dreamland, Thanet and Canterbury.
National Express also have various stops in Margate and a national network of coach services.

Accessible Tickets

Customers with Access requirements are very welcome to all Margate Summer Series events.
By purchasing an Accessible ticket, you confirm that you or a member of your party has Access requirements. Proof of these will need to be provided.

Available facilities include an Accessible Viewing Platform, Accessible Toilets, lowered bars and a separate, Accessible Entrance. We also provide free Personal Assistance Tickets.

Please note that spaces on the Accessible Viewing Platform are limited and only for customers that would otherwise be unable to come – please do not take away spots from those who need them the most! The accessible viewing platform strictly operates on a +1 basis.

Whilst decisions are made on a case-by-case basis, evidence that is usually accepted include:

  • PIP (Personal Independence Payment)
  • DLA – Care and/or Mobility
  • Letter from a Medical Professional
  • D/Deaf or Blind Registration
  • Nimbus/Access Cards (with +1 Icon for PA Tickets)

Please note that our Access Facilities are unable to cater to temporary impairments (i.e. broken bones or healing wounds). Pregnancy does also not qualify for the use of our Access Facilities.

If you need to bring medication into the site with you, please bring this in its original packaging and take a copy of a medical/doctor’s prescription with you. There will also be a fridge on-site for medication that needs to be refrigerated.

Accessible tickets are available via AXS on each event’s ticketing page.

There are two ticket types:
“General Admission Accessible + Companion”: This ticket gives access to the general admission area. When these tickets are purchased, they also include a complimentary ticket for a personal assistant / companion. These tickets do not give access to seating, or the accessible platform area.

“Accessible Platform + Companion”: This ticket gives access to the accessible viewing platform and includes a complimentary ticket for a personal assistant / companion. There is space on the platform for wheelchairs and some seating is also provided.

What are the gates opening times?

Please see individual show listings on the What’s On section of our website for opening times. All events finish at 10.30 pm.

When is last entry?

The last entry time is usually 9pm, but please check on the Dreamland website for up-to-day information for your specific event

Is there seating? Can I bring a chair?

Dreamland is a standing only venue. If you have purchased an accessible platform ticket, there will be seating available on the accessible platform for access customers.

Can I bring my dog?

Sorry, pets are not allowed. If you have a guide dog, please contact customerservices@dreamland.co.uk.

Can I bring an umbrella?

No umbrellas are permitted in the venue, so in case of rain please bring clothing appropriate for wet weather. This is an outdoor venue so at liberty of the elements!

Can I bring a bag?

To make sure your entry to the site is as seamless as possible, we recommend that you don’t bring a bag. However, you can bring a bag no larger than A4 format (21 x 29.7cm). No suitcase or large bags will be permitted. If there is a medical reason that means you need to bring a larger bag, please contact customerservices@dreamland.co.uk

Can I bring food and drinks?

No outside food or drink is allowed into the festival venue during a live event day, but we have a stellar line-up of street-food vendors you can buy food from.There will be bars onsite selling a wide range of alcoholic drinks including wines, spirits, cider, craft ales and lager, as well as non-alcoholic drinks. Please note that a Challenge 25 policy is in operation at all bars on site.

Can I bring a water bottle?

Refillable flasks and bottles are not permitted to be brought into the event. Free tap water is available at all bars for this event.

What items are not allowed at Margate Summer Series?

What you should / can bring:

  • Please bring valid ID / proof of age
  • You can bring a small bag no larger than 21cm x 29.7cm – the size of an A4 piece of paper

Can I see the stage from the VIP area?

Whilst there is a good view of the stage from the VIP area, please note that this is not a golden circle and that the VIP area is at the back of the venue.

Can I leave the event and come back later?

There is no re-entry to the site once you have entered the event. Please make sure you have everything you need with you. If you need to re-enter the event for exceptional circumstances please ask a member of our security or event management team.

Besides food and drink, what other on-site facilities are there?

Box Office
If you are collecting tickets or have any ticketing queries, please visit our on-site Box Office, which is open from 30 minutes before doors to 9pm.

Toilets
Toilets, including accessible toilets, are located throughout the site and clearly signposted.

Welfare and First Aid
There is Welfare and First Aid provision on site. Services are open during event hours and all visits are logged and recorded. If you need to store medicine, you can store it in the fridge at the Welfare Tent.

Free drinking water
There are free drinking water points available throughout the event. We encourage you to bring your own reuseable water bottle to refill at these points.

Accessibility Facilities
There is an accessible viewing platform onsite as well as accessible toilets and a separate, accessible entrance. In order to use these facilities, please buy an accessible ticket via AXS.

Please note that there are no cash points available on site.

Q.

What can I expect at security?

We are working closely with the police to make Margate Summer Series a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. In order to have a drug- and crime-free event we search all customers on entry to the site without exception.

Laws around so-called ‘legal highs’, such as psychoactive substances, are now in force. If found with these or any other illegal drugs, you will be asked to leave and may be passed to the police who are based onsite. See www.talktofrank.com for more info.
